PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, December 27, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- PETALUMA, Calif., -- November 29, 2016 -- Brewsters Beer Garden, an open-air dining restaurant and beer garden has officially opened its doors.

Brewsters Beer Garden is nestled in Downtown Petaluma, along the iconic Petaluma River, on the site of a beautiful, historic 105 year old brick building. The property formerly served as the first incubator factory in the world, commemorated by a plaque in the entryway and reflected by the original brick and stone walls encompassing the space. Brewsters Beer Garden features a 350 seat full-service, open-aired canopy restaurant and patio garden complete with 32 beers on tap and a full-bar. Upon entry, guests are greeted by an enormous custom iron piece from prominent Bay Area sculptor Brian Tedrick and a lush rooftop garden that welcome guests into the rustic communal space. Amenities include a bocce ball court, dedicated children’s play area, and live music stage, all centered around a massive central fire pit.

“We saw an opportunity with this space to bring something fresh and new to the North Bay that no one else is doing,” said Brewsters co-owner Michael Goebel. “We are excited to be a part of the vibrant Petaluma community and have the opportunity to highlight many of the region’s brewing and culinary aspects in a new and welcoming setting.”

Bringing over 40 collective years of hospitality and restaurant industry experience, the ownership team of Executive Chef Chris Beerman, General Manager Ben Hetzel, Beverage Director Alfie Hetzel, and Managing Partner Michael Goebel, have sought to capture the vibrant and growing community of Petaluma and greater North Bay region by drawing on and celebrating many of the area’s notable features. With the menu, Mr. Beerman, who previously owned and operated the popular Citizens Band diner and Pinkies Bakery, mixes traditional Southern Carolina barbeque cuisine with a fresh Northern California flare. Daily, an industrial grill fires up full-sized hogs and slabs of ribs on the patio, while a stock of rotisserie chickens cook in the kitchen. Dedicated to using only locally sourced ingredients, the team has partnered with Petaluma-based farmers and ranchers to source organic produce and provide the highest-quality meats available.

Furthermore, for the 32 rotating beers on tap, Brewsters has partnered with esteemed local craft brewers, including tapping Petaluma Hills Brewing Company for the Brewsters’ House IPA and Napa-Smith Brewery for a special House Lager. The full-bar features a range of spirits along with Napa and Sonoma County wines, while the cocktail menu reflects a crafted offering of seasonal concoctions by Mr. Turnshek.

“The hope is to capture a piece of Petaluma and the broader North Bay’s charm in both our food and drink offerings, as well as in the design of the space,” says Mr. Hetzel. “To achieve this, we are proud to partner with local community members to bring to life many of these aspects we feel make Petaluma such an amazing place.”

Brewsters Beer Garden is located at 229 Water Street North in Petaluma, Calif., and is open daily Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight, and closed on Mondays. The Brewsters team plans to expand hours to include lunch in the coming weeks, with live music starting early next year. Additional information can be found at brewstersbeergarden.com.
